Reparative Shampoo with Organic Amaranth Extract and Vegan Pea Protein
Paul Mitchell Clean Beauty Repair Shampoo is the cleansing step of the Clean Beauty Repair line — built for damaged, brittle hair rather than daily maintenance. Organic Amaranthus Caudatus (amaranth) Seed Extract and Hydrolyzed Pea Protein carry the strengthening story, while Olea Europaea (Olive) Oil Unsaponifiables and Amodimethicone help the formula leave hair feeling smoother instead of stripped. Made with 79% natural origin ingredients, vegan and cruelty-free per brand.
Why Choose It?
- Organic amaranth seed extract — the strengthening active in the Repair formula, paired with pea protein for damaged hair
- Hydrolyzed pea protein — vegan plant protein that supports the repair story for brittle, damaged strands
- Olive oil unsaponifiables soften and condition without the heavy after-feel of a full oil
- Amodimethicone deposits selectively on damaged cuticle sites for targeted slip without build-up
- Vegan and cruelty-free per brand; 79% natural origin ingredients
Best For
Damaged, brittle or chemically processed hair that needs more than a daily-maintenance shampoo. A good match for hair that feels weak mid-length to ends, or for routines where breakage and roughness are the main concerns rather than dryness alone. Vegan and cruelty-free per brand, so it fits plant-based haircare routines.
Follow with the matching Paul Mitchell Clean Beauty Repair Conditioner for damaged hair to complete the Repair routine.
- Wet the hair thoroughly with warm water.
- Take a small amount into the palms and work into a light lather between the hands.
- Massage gently into the scalp and through the lengths — the lather is intentionally gentle, so a second pass is fine on heavy build-up.
- Leave on for about a minute so the amaranth extract and pea protein have contact time with the cuticle.
- Rinse thoroughly with warm water, then follow with the matching Repair Conditioner.
Tips
- Focus the first lather on the scalp where oil and product build-up concentrate; the rinse carries the cleansers through the lengths.
- For very damaged lengths, follow with a longer conditioner contact time — protein cleansing pairs best with a proper conditioning step.
- A cool final rinse helps the cuticle lie flat after the cleanse for a smoother, shinier finish.
